Election Day Roundup: Despite Bumps And More Than 740k Early Ballots, Turnout Stayed Brisk In Connecticut On Election Day

Connecticut voters turned out en masse Tuesday to cast their ballots, despite a large number of voters having already participated in early voting and submitting absentee ballots.  Presidential elections usually bring out a high number of voters, and some speculated this year would see a record number. A US senate seat and all five congressional seats were also on the ballot this year, in addition to state senate and state house seats.
